unbelievable….nissan has found the secret to go fast magic and they put it in the new GT-R. I’d still rather have a new M3 tho….there are no tail out drift and burn antic in the new GT-R.
I saw a test mule YESTERDAY, but i was doing a delivery for my boss in a budget box truck so a quick u-turn was not an option. I looked exactly like this one, with the taped up bangle butt from what looks like an older 7 series on the back. Hopefully i can snap a few photos next time, seeing as the woodcliff lake area is now crawling with engineers from mercedes and bmw.
I think its more along the lines of a 535 touring, seeing as the only current BMW with the dual pipes for the biturbo six is the 335, I was sort of surprised they didnt keep the twin pipes for the 135 or the 535.
@Tony: First off Im pretty sure there was nver a V6 in any BMW, they use only inline sixes, and for another thing the new 3.0 liter biturbo inline 6 has virtually no lag whasoever due to the fact that the turbos are different sizes, a smaller one for lower rpm torque and a slightly larger one for higher rpm torque.
I agree, the front is very aggressive, employing a lower intake/spoiler much like that of the new M3. The rear is in no way M material….where are the quad exhausts first off. I like the tail lamps, they look like they were lifted from the CS concept. Someone obviously put a lot of time into these.
I’ve also driven both the M3 and the 335 and I would definitely say that no matter how much tuning is put into a 335, the M3 will always be the winner. It is like a different species.
