The new BMW 5 Series is slowly starting to appear at dealerships around the world. This week, the new business sedan also made it to the BMWs flagship dealer in Munich – BMW Niederlassung.

While we saw the new business sedan for the first time at the 2017 NAIAS in Detroit, the car has now officially arrived at the main dealership of the BMW Group. Just a few days ago, the all-new BMW 5 Series also entered the show floor at the BMW Welt in Munich.

“Conquering the digital world” is the slogan of the premiere at the dealership, referring to the extensive BMW Connected features. For the first time ever, visitors were able to take a close look at the new car and get behind the wheel. A fleet of several new BMW 5 Series models was available for a quick test drive.

The fleet included the BMW 530d xDrive with its powerful six-cylinder diesel engine. It offers a power output of 265 horsepower (195 kW) and 457 pound-feet (620 Nm) torque. Fuel consumption is said to be 58.8 mpg (4.5 l/100 km).

Alongside the presentation of the new model, a BMW 540i showcased the extensive range of available M Performance parts. The carbon-fiber exterior parts, such as the black kidney grille and the dark carbon-fiber mirror caps, harmonized beautifully with the Alpine White exterior color. The 20-inch light alloy wheels and the carbon-fiber rear spoiler and the diffuser completed the striking appearance.

In addition to the all-new BMW 5 Series, the dealership also displayed some models of previous generations. The lineup included two BMW M5 models, namely the BMW M5 E28 from 1981 and the M5 E60 from 2005. Another special appearance included the BMW ALPINA B10 V8.

Starting today, the all-new BMW 5 Series can be taken for a test drive at BMW dealerships. The first deliveries of the new premium sedan took already place. Furthermore, the BMW 5 Series Touring (internally code-named G31) will join the sedan in the near future. As of now, it is unlikely that the 5 Series sports wagon will make its way to North America.
