Jeremy Clarkson of “The Grand Tour” says the BMW M2 is the best M car you can buy today and now, at least one other passionate car guy agrees with the former Top Gear host. In his latest video, Autotrader’s Doug DeMuro gives a fantastic summary of why the M2 is the best M car which basically boils down to being extremely fun to drive.

As DeMuro puts it, the M2’s stat sheet isn’t necessarily that impressive, but you’ll still be impressed every time you get behind the wheel.

The M2 puts out 365 hp from its 3.0 liter turbocharged I6 engine and sends it to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual (in this case, a seven-speed DCT is optional). That means its good for 0-60 mph in about 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. It’s also quite the slidey car, with a chassis that’s willing to play.

While it’s nearly a foot shorter than the 3 Series and a foot and a half shorter than the 5 Series, the M2 is still relatively heavy at about 3500 lbs., but that’s hardly a problem on the track and on the road.

Let’s have a look.
