We get a first impression of the sound of the new BMW M4 GT4 from the test drives in Estoril. On the race track near Lisbon, BMW Motorsport has started testing the new racing car, which will be available in 2018 for racing teams.

Immediately after the premiere of the prototype in the typical camouflaged look, the BMW M4 GT4 was apparently already brought to Estoril, in order to complete its first test and adjustment journeys. Over the next few months, a large number of vehicles testing are planned, with experienced drivers from BMW Motorsport being able to test the racing car thoroughly and to prepare them optimally for customer support.

As early as January 2017, the BMW M4 GT4 will also compete at the 24 hour race in Dubai to prove itself for the first time under the challenging conditions of a long-distance race. The Green Hell of the Nürburgring Nordschleife will, of course, be the home of the BMW M4 GT4, which from 2018 will serve as a base for many teams from all over the world.

Some parts of the BMW M4 GT4 are taken directly from the road sportsman M4 GTS, including the carbon bonnet with its additional air outlets. The front splinters and the adjustable tailgate of the GT4 are also visually similar to the GTs, but technically free of the constraints of a road vehicle. The doors of the coupe are made of carbon fiber, just like the bonnet and roof, to further reduce the weight.

BMW has yet to offer any information on the power output, but we expect to learn more in the upcoming months.
