Not long ago ALPINA announced that they will be entering new markets starting this year and Australia was one of them. Today the pricing was announced for the first model that will reach the land Down Under, the ALPINA B4 BiTurbo. Prices will start at AUD160,900 for the Coupe and Convertible models which translates into roughly $119,670 at today’s exchange rates.

The cars will come with adaptive LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, adaptive ALPINA suspension, electrically-adjustable heated front sports seats, head-up display, ‘Merino’ leather upholstery and the BMW ConnectedDrive online infotainment system as well as the latest iDrive 5.0 infotainment system.

At the same time, under the hood, the usual ALPINA tricks will be applied, turning the B4s into proper M4 rivals. The N55 engine is upgraded thanks to new turbochargers and a wider exhaust system, power going up to 410 HP and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. That means the B4 BiTurbo models can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 4 seconds flat if we’re talking about the Coupe, all-wheel drive version. The rear-wheel drive model does the same sprint 0.2 seconds slower while the Convertible is only available in RWD guise and is a full half second behind the AWD coupe.

Later on, the ALPINA B3 BiTurbo models will also make an appearance on the Australian market, even though no precise date has been set. However, ALPINA did reveal the fact that the pricing of the Sedan B3 will start at AUD155,900 or $116,000 while the Touring version will kick off at AUD160,900 or $119,670, the same as the B4 Coupe and Convertible.
