When it comes to pristine, older performance cars, prices do tend to go a bit wild once they become collectables. The BMW E46 M3 is seemingly headed to this, even though it’s not yet a classic, per say. However, the beautiful shape of the car and its driving characteristics made it very desirable even to this day. Getting one with as few miles on the clock as possible might be a challenge and will also come with a high price, as you’re about to see.
The guys from Hexagon Classics in the UK have what may very well be the most pristine BMW E46 M3 in the world right now for sale. The car is listed as having only 2,300 miles (3,700 km) on the odometer, which basically means it’s brand new. Being a 2005 model, that translates into covering about 210 miles per year. Somebody definitely had the right idea when buying this car from the get go, probably acting on a hunch that their value will go up over the years.
Unfortunately, it’s a UK model and that means the steering wheel in located on the right. Furthermore, it’s an SMG model and most people prefer the manual gearbox instead. Even so, the biggest turn off might be the price tag. With an asking price of £49,995 or close to $61,000 at today’s exchange rate, we have a hunch you may be able to negotiate a bit if you’re truly interested. But even so, the price of this car is bound to go up even more over the years, as its collector status comes into light. If you also take care of it and keep its mileage low, this may very well be an investment.
As for the specifics of the car, it comes with Nappa leather, cruise control, brushed aluminum trims inside the cabin, Bluetooth, Harman Kardon sound system, Voice control and even an electric sunblind for the rear window.
