This summer, BMW launched a new generation ALPINA B7 based on the new G11/G12 7 Series platform. Along with a new design, the ALPINA B7 Biturbo also comes with its own take on the 4.4-liter V8 engine under the hood, improving BMW’s recipe used for the 750i model it is based on. Therefore, instead of 450 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, the ALPINA can rely on 600 HP and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. All of it is then sent to the four corners of the car via a revised xDrive all-wheel drive system and a similarly upgraded 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The end result is a ballistic missile on wheels, reaching 60 mph from standstill in 3.6 seconds which is roughly 0.8 seconds faster than its predecessor. Furthermore, this full-size sedan will also be capable of reaching a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h), a figure that is supercar worthy.

In typical Alpina fashion, the interior is gorgeously appointed, with lovely little Alpina touches all throughout the cabin. With Alpina-exclusive Lavalina leather, Alpina-colored gauges and some blue and green stitching throughout, the B7’s interior takes, what is already a phenomenal 7 Series interior, one step further.

The exterior shares the same sort of treatment. With some Alpina-specific touches, like the tasteful lip spoiler and quad exhaust, and those gorgeous 21″ wheels.

The ALPINA B7 continues to offer luxury and exclusivity, along with mighty power and performance, that very few high-end limousines can match.

The 2017 BMW Alpina B7 will be available in the US starting this summer with a price tag that will kick off at $137,995. That, of course, includes the $995 shipping and handling tax, as you might expect.
