The Dubai Police force has some of the most expensive, fastest road-going cars in the world at its disposal. The list includes the likes of Bugatti’s Veyron, various Lamborghinis, a McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari FF, Aston Martin One-77 and two BMWs as well – a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and an i8. Fascinated by this incredible line-up, the guys from Team VDE in the Netherlands wrapped a BMW M235i in a livery that resembles the one applied to all of Dubai’s police cars.
The M Performance Automobile was previously prepared for the livery with a couple of M Performance add-ons. As you can see from the photos, they installed a new spoiler on the front bumper, a boot lid spoiler and a new diffuser in between the twin tailpipes of the M Performance exhaust at the back. To top everything off, a set of M Performance wheels were also added to the list. After all the parts were installed, it was time for the wrapping specialists to take over.
The livery includes the word ‘Police’ while a couple strobe lights were added inside the cabin which makes us wonder whether all of this is really street legal. You can easily tell that this isn’t a real police car once you’re close to it but from a distance you may be fooled, especially due to those red and blue lights attached to the sun blinds.
Fortunately, in the Netherlands, the police cars have a completely different exterior livery that uses orange and blue colors to stand out. Even so, traveling around Europe might get you in trouble. In the meantime, we’re leaving the legal issues to Team VDE and just sit back and enjoy their creation which will be racing in this year’s Streetgasm 2000 Rally kicking off in Prague on June 16.
