A day after our article on the Hamann 2016 BMW X6 M and we have the chance now to see a real life application of the aftermarket kit. A Gunmetal Grey BMW X6 M was tuned by DS Automobile to not only enhance its looks, but also its performance. Even in standard form, the BMW X6 M stands out with its wide hips and mean face it was gifted with, as well as the menacing soundtrack of the 4.4-liter V8 under the hood. However, for some people, there’s nothing better in the world than tuning your car. And since Hamann decided to offer more style for the F16 model compared to the Typhoon kits of the E71 versions, we’re all up for it.
DS Automobile nicknamed this project “The stealth bomber” and it includes lowering springs and fender flares, a new exhaust system, 22-inch Hamann Anniversary Evo black line wheels and even engine tuning.
“The stealth bomber” now has 650 HP and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque going to the four corners of the car, instead of the stock 567 HP and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque it used to make in standard guise. That should be plenty to put a smile on your face. The sporty SUV is not only faster, but also more aggressive in appearance and an even bigger head-turner.
