The BMW i8 is a rare bird no matter how you look at it. When the Germans decided to build the progressive hybrid , they went that extra mile to be sure they bring out a car that will set them apart from the competition. With its hybrid powertrain, lightweight construction and incredible looks, we’d say they achieved that. But success often comes with its own price.

Therefore, when it comes to tuning an i8, not many will be cheering on it. You wouldn’t tune a BMW M1 all that easily, now would you?

The car in the photo gallery below was put together by the guys from Alphamale Performance. Apart from changing the standard wheels – that were designed to be as light and efficient as possible – the i8 was also bagged. That means that the standard setup was swapped with an air suspension, one that allows you to raise or lower the car’s ride height at the switch of a button – in this case bringing it closer to the ground.

The AMP-15T wheels are forged and have a monoblocks setup finished in a beautiful Death Bronze color. What do you think, yay or nay for this bagged i8?
