Lime Rock Park is a natural-terrain motorsport road racing venue located in Lime Rock, Connecticut. It’s one of those mythical tracks that poured into an urban legend. And rightfully so, Lime Rock Park is definitely one of the more exciting privately-owned tracks. Even BMW was vulnerable to its appeal naming the special edition BMW E92 M3 after the track. Now, an E92 M3 makes a comeback at Lime Rock and delights us with some beautiful photography.
This BMW E92 M3 is definitely a looker and it’s prepped for weekend track events. The sporty coupe comes with a racing-inspired rear wing, the 24 hours racing headlights, bucket seats, aftermarket wheels and a lot of chassis tuning for those tight corners.
This generation BMW M3 is powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 and it’s the only M3 that revs to an insane 8,300 rpm. Its S65 V8 was named International Engine Of The Year from 2008-2012 in the 3.0 – 4.0 liter category. Performance wise, the E92 M3 is a monster on track and on the road, some magazine tests show 0 to 60 times of 3.9 seconds for the DCT-equipped models.
