The BMW 1M is one of those mythical cars made in Bavaria. It looks aggressive, beefed up and it’s a riot on the track. Around the world, car aficionados will instantly recognize it, giving the 1M owners a sense of pride and social status, seldom seen with the M3, M4 or M5 for example. Some owners like to keep their cars clean while others love to pimp them out a bit.
And usually the easiest and cheapest way to achieve this is by installing a set of custom wheels.
The folks at Permaisuri chose a set of the HRE RS103 wheels, a multispoke design which works perfectly with the aggressive exterior of the 1M.
No power upgrades were given to this 1M, so it still uses the standard re-tuned version of the twin-turbocharged N54 engine. The 3.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo produces 340 PS (250 kW) at 5900 rpm and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. An overboost feature brings the total torque to 369 lb-ft (500 Nm).
The only available drivetrain is a six-speed manual gearbox with a limited slip differential. This gives the compact 1M an impressive performance allowing it to sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. The car comes with an electronically limited speed of 155 mph (250km/h).
