Today, as some of us celebrate Christmas or simply enjoy time off from work, we’ve been browsing the interwebs and been looking for the perfect BMW gift. And while we can’t really have this gift, it’s still one of the best gifts any BMW fan could dream of – a BMW M3 Touring.

Theophilus Chin – a well-known rendering artist – has penned an M3 Sports Wagon based on the F80 M3 Sedan. The existence of an F81 M3 Touring anywhere makes the world a better place.

BMW’s biggest competitors are Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Both companies have their own respective hot-wagons in the C63 AMG Wagon and the RS4 Avant. An M version of the beautiful 3 Series Touring would likely find a home in many garages in Europe, but is less likely to surpass the sales of the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe.

The previous M3 Touring was built on the E46 platform, an one-off that never saw the daylight. Literally. We also did see some previous conversions, but none were M-engineered.

So while an M3 Touring would be a phenomenal sports car, the odds of seeing one are slim to none. Or maybe one day Santa will bless us with this gift…
