For the most part, the BMW 1M was and probably is the most desired car from the German carmaker. As far as performance goes, the BMW 1M Coupe uses a re-tuned version of the twin-turbocharged N54 engine which is used in various other models such as the 2011 BMW 335is. The 3.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo produces 340 PS (250 kW) at 5900 rpm and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) torque from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm. An overboost feature brings the total torque to 369 lb-ft (500 Nm).
The only available drivetrain is a six-speed manual gearbox with a limited slip differential. This gives the compact 1M an impressive performance allowing it to sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.3 seconds. The car comes with an electronically limited speed of 155 mph (250km/h).
This 1M went for a makeover to enhance its clean and sporty lines. European Auto Source installed a bevvy of aftermarket additions to the vehicle – a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser and a trunk spoiler. The hood was also replaced with one that features functional vents.
Inside, the standard seats are out and replaced by the track-ready BMW Performance Seats.
Under the hood of this 1M you will find a Gruppe M Intake, the Evolution Racewerks Chargepipe, a BMS Oil Catch Can, Forge Intercooler and Forge Diverter Valves. Backed by a PTF Custom Map using a Cobb Accessport V3 and Akrapovic Full Exhaust System with Catless Downpipes, this BMW 1M is an impressive vehicle.
But the most prominent feature is still the new wheel setup. These BBS FI wheels bring a dose of racing inspired design and engineering, wrapped up in a gorgeous wheel design. The wheels are sized 19″ front and rear. The wheels come with a set of Michelin tires. The lettering on the tires is another hot thing right now. While some may not like it, it certainly follows the loud style of the project.
