The BMW X5 M comes with a powerful engine, great handling and an impressive exterior design. Painted in a Sapphire Black Metallic exterior finish, this X5 M looks pristine and ripe for both the street and the track. For its owner though, this wasn’t enough so he decided to take the BMW X5 M to Wheels Boutique in order to install a set of custom aftermarket forged wheels for his performance vehicle.
The HRE S104 wheels are finished in a Brushed Titanium Center / Polished Copper Lip combination with sizes of 22×10.5 and 22×12 in the front and rear, respectively. They fit perfectly the large SAV and its flared fenders. The added contrasting effect of the titanium and copper works pretty well with its exterior, giving the vehicle a deeper look. Wheels are wrapped in the Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires, sized front with 295/30/22 together with rear 335/25/22 sizes, respectively.
The BMW X5 M of the current generation is powered by a reworked M TwinPower Turbo engine, a V8 that provides more power and torque, and better power delivery. The peak output of the new M turbocharged engine is 567 hp, three percent higher than that of its predecessor and is available between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm. At the same time, the engine’s peak torque has been boosted by around 10 percent to 553 lb-ft, which can be enjoyed across an extremely broad rev band – from 2,200 to 5,000 rpm.
The extraordinary power development of the BMW X5 M allows for a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.0 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. The BMW X5 M has an MSRP of $98,000 in the U.S. market.
