Earlier this summer, a spy photo from Germany revealed two BMW F80 M3 cars on a transport carrier. The two cars were far from your regular M3 and featured the light-allow 666M wheels – very same wheels introduced by the BMW M4 GTS sans the Acid Orange accents. The assumption was that BMW is likely working on another special edition M3/M4 and/or a new Competition Package.
Now new photos from New Jersey give us a closer look at another M3 with the very same 20 inch 666M wheels, black exhaust tips, black side gills, black M3 badge, black kidney grilles and carbon ceramic brakes.
Inside the car, the F80 M3 Facelift is rumored to arrive with new interior trims and an updated iDrive system.
BMW has yet to confirm that an F80 M3 Competition Package is in works, but our sources say the Competiton Package – ZCP – might arrive in Summer 2016. At this point, everything is pure speculation, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a special M3 arriving next year to coincide with BMW’s 100th anniversary.
