BMW’s E34 5 Series is regarded as one of the most beautiful and classy sports sedan every built by the Bavarians. In 1993 BMW added a 4.0-liter V8 to the 5 Series lineup. It was available in both sedan and touring models. But one owner has decided he needs his 5 Series to be more unique.
“This 1995 BMW 530i started life with a small displacement V8 but was later fitted with a V12–first a Hartge-tuned 500 HP setup, and since 2007 a purely stock BMW M70,” says the Cincinnati Craigslist ad. The V12 engine is paired with a 6-speed manual – found in the BMW 850i – and in good running order despite ~200k engine and ~100k chassis miles.
A Dinan Stage 3 brake conversion – basically the BMW Nurburgring package – was installed as well, along with adjustable Koni shocks, H&R springs in rear, Dinan springs in front and adjustable Dinan sway bars front and rear.
The seats have also been swapped out for matching M5 seats.
The seller also claims the car has spent its whole life in the South, so it’s never seen salt, and it’s rust free.
At $8,000, this is one of the most interesting used BMWs we’ve seen in a while.
