With the recently introduced BMW M2 Coupe and only a week earlier presented BMW M4 GTS, the M Division has introduced two extremely hot machines – playing in completely different price and performance segments – yet both quite competitive on the track.
Even if the M2 hot compact delivers impressive performance, the BMW community already demands a more raw track-ready M2, along the lines of the Porsche Cayman GT4. A rumored M2 CSL has been mentioned in the past – but according to our sources – such model has yet to be approved. If it gets the greenlight, a two years development process is the norm.
Photoshop artist X-Tomi jumps the gun and creates a digital image of what an M2 GTS would look like. Using design cues from the M4 GTS, the rendering artist gives the M2 an exquisite and track-ready look – enhanced by the M4 GTS Acid Orange wheels, the adjustable front splitter and the rear wing.

The Frozen Grey Dark finish makes the M2 GTS even more exclusive.
With a carbon fiber diet – hood and roof made of carbon fiber – as well as a minimalist cabin, the M2 GTS would be a lightweight little rocket on the track.
Ideally, the M2 GTS would use the S55 425 horsepower engine from the M4 which should give the “baby-M” enough power to take on the Cayman GT4 around Nurburgring.
