What do you do when you wanna stand out in a sea of BMWs? You put a flashy pink wrap on your bimmer and take it out for a ride around the city. This pink BMW X6 M was spotted in Munich Zentrum and the chrome pink wrap grabs the attention of everyone immediately. Likely the car is used for marketing purposes rather than a personal vehicle an if that’s the case, the marketing strategy works.
The BMW X6 M is ridiculed by many of today’s auto journalists for being completely unnecessary. And while it isn’t the most useful of SUVs, it’s still a damn fine car to drive. And customers love it. It’s got everything you could ever want, speed, power, performance, comfort, luxury and cargo space. In the second generation, the sporty truck gets even better.
Under the hood, the X6 M sports a reworked M TwinPower Turbo engine, a V8 that provides more power and torque, and better power delivery.
The peak output of the new M turbocharged engine is 567 hp, three percent higher than that of its predecessor and is available between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm. At the same time, the engine’s peak torque has been boosted by around 10 percent to 553 lb-ft, which can be enjoyed across an extremely broad rev band – from 2,200 to 5,000 rpm.
The 2015 BMW X6 M sells in the U.S. for $103,050, including $950 Destination and Handling.
