The rumor going around the interwebs is that BMW will unveil an M4 GTS model and the 3.0 CSL Hommage at the upcoming 2015 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance. While the M4 GTS’ unveil was the safe bet, the surprise comes from the 3.0 CSL Hommage which BMW calls it a world premiere despite being unveiled in May at the Lake Como. According to a report by Autocar, this 3.0 CSL Hommage is an updated version of the one we know from before, yet no other details are known at the moment.

BMW community was hoping for M to make a big splash in Pebble Beach with a double reveal which would have included the highly-expected M2. A teaser image supplied by BMW showed a racing steering wheel with typical M styling cues and colors, an indication that an M model will be in attendance.

Just like the M3 GTS, the M4 GTS is expected to be a raw, track-ready, yet street-legal version of the powerful M4. The internal ordering system of U.S. BMW dealerships now lists a 2016 BMW M4 GTS beginning production in March of next year.

BMW M4 GTS will feature the water injection system seen in the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car. We currently estimate that the expected BMW M4 GTS middle-class athlete will drive its rear wheels with about 470 hp. Our sources say ceramic brakes will be standard on the GTS and dual-clutch transmission is likely to be the only choice offered. M4 GTS will come in only three colors and will forget at home the rear seats.

The U.S.-spec’ed M4 GTS might not get all the features the European version will, “thanks” to the strict U.S. road legislation.

This year’s event gets underway August 16.
