A little fun in the rain. This is how we can best describe the photoshoot at hand. AutoCouture Motoring took a couple of BMWs for some rainy day running. Both the M3 and M4 feature a bevy of aftermarket parts, from aerodynamic parts to wheels, and both look extremely good in their own way.
While the rain isn’t the appropriate weather to achieve the highest performance in these cars, they look so elegant in the rain and in their own element. The ease they both exert while treading in high-speed on a highway is impressive.
The F80 M3, as well as its coupe counterpart the M4, were revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The performance of the car has improved from the previous generation. This is mostly due to the introduction of the capable 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo engine that produces 425 horsepower. This engine combines two mono-scroll turbochargers with variable valve control (Double-VANOS and Valvetronic) and high-precision direct injection, allowing for a smoother and more to the point power delivery.
BMW claims that the car can do 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 3.9 seconds with the optional DCT gearbox. The M3 and M4 will run the standing kilometer in 22.20 seconds.
