Like the BMW E92 M3 GTS, here is the new GTS version of the BMW M4.

This BMW M4 GTS was testing on the Nurburgring yesterday and comes with a rear wing, different front bumper, no rear seats,  ceramic brakes, carbon fiber additions all over the place and more changes compared to the normal BMW M4.

Judging by the engine sound in the video, it might also have more horsepower under the hood and is equipped with the BMW M Performance Exhaust System.

Just like the M3 GTS, there will be some issues with homologation for some markets, so it’s unclear if it will come to the US.

Short of being hypnotized to like the sound, still cannot force myself to like the i6 TwinPower engine. AMG did their homework and developed a V8 that is as light or comparable. Reports are saying it even beats BMW F80/82 in fuel consumption. Shame my beloved BMW had to fkc sh*t up! You hear me M Division?

    • Horatiu B. says:

I know, we all feel the same. I haven’t looked at the fuel consumption tho.

      • Crux says:

Well, 23-24mpg not too bad for a 6.0 V8. Worried the direction M Div is taking the ///M brand. Head-to-head comparison between C63 vs. M3/M4 is scary. Driving dynamics BMW will always win but good god, it is severely under powered.

“Despite the C63’s faintly amusing traction issues over the first few feet, it’s still quick enough to level with the M3 from 0-30mph (2.1sec). But from that moment onwards it drives away from the BMW under a full-bore acceleration run, so that by the time 150mph is registered it is a quite incredible 3.6sec farther down the road (22.9sec vs 26.5sec), having knocked off 0-60mph in 4.4sec and 0-100mph in 9.7sec.” Yikes!

        • Hillbilly says:

Sorry, but who cares in the normal traffic? And in the DTM you see what BMW do. Don’t talk about crap my friend.

          • Hillbilly says:

… and in the DTM the M4 has a V8. the inline 6 (street version) is just for the fuel economy. The c63 weight 1800 kg empty, the m4 weight 1600 kg empty, we talk about 200 kg different.

          • Horatiu B. says:

Would be nice to take that M4 DTM for a spin.

          • Crux says:

Don’t talk about DTM, they don’t sell those in dealership for consumers to just stop and buy. A lot of people care. ///M Brand is special & it should be dominating everything AMG puts out. I will wait for a proper head-to-head comparison when Chris Harris pits them together.

        • Horatiu B. says:

We def need to do our own comparison, curious to see the differences.
