Recently we showed you several aftermarket builds with custom wheels installed. This latest project comes from Vorsteiner and showcases a BMW F80 M3 with a set of Vorsteiner VSR-163 wheels. The Alpine White F80 BMW M3 is everyone’s favorite color when it comes to aftermarket tuning.
The F80 M3 and F82 M4 were revealed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The performance of the two M brothers has improved from the previous generation and BMW claims they can run do 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 3.9 seconds with the optional DCT gearbox and Launch Control. This accomplishment is achieved thanks to a 3.0l twin-turbo S55 inline-six engine that produces a breathtaking 425 horsepower, while getting 406 lb-ft of torque – all making sure the car runs as equally as fast as anything in that segment now.
With a performance car on hands, electing a set of aftermarket wheels without ruining performance is a challenging task. Opting for a set of forged monoblocks is usually a great start as they are lightweight and can fully utilizes the fitment and sizing specifications requirements by the M3 and M4. The wheels shown here are are 20×10 in the front and 20×11 in the rear, a good choice to fill the wheel wells properly. The Shadow Brushed Shadow finish makes sure these provide a nice contrast to the Alpine White exterior finish of the car.
