At the 2014 Leipzig Auto Show, BMW brought out the 218i Active Tourer in Alpine White. Painted in Alpine White, the 218i Active Tourer comes with a cloth interior and red stitching, giving the car a sportier look than in standard form.

The BMW 218i shown in Leipzig is available with front-wheel drive, three-cylinder engine and the van typical high roof line. The 136 hp gasoline engine is already known from the F56 MINI Cooper and it’s sufficient to accelerate the car in 9.3 to 9.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/hr.

Who wants more propulsion in the compact van can pick up the BMW 220d Active Tourer with 190-hp four-cylinder diesel or even the 231 hp BMW 225i Active Tourer with four-cylinder petrol engine. The two top models are also optionally available with xDrive and the extra traction of four driven wheels.
