The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible makes its world debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

The open-M4 based on the BMW F33 4 Series Convertible comes this fall and uses the same powertrain as the fifth-generation M3 and M4 Coupe. In all three vehicles, the new twin-turbo inline six-cylinder with 431 hp S55 and a maximum of 550 Newton meters of torque will power the rear wheels. Remains to be seen how much weight the M4 Convertible brings on the scale.

From 0-100 km/h (0-62), the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe runs in 4.1 seconds with DCT while the M3 runs the same distance in 4.3 seconds, with the same transmission. We expect the M4 Convertible to report similar numbers.

The MSRP for the new BMW M4 Convertible is $73,425.
