This summer, BMW will unveil the facelifted 1 Series hatchback. Theophilus Chin renders the 2015 BMW M135i, the M Performance Automobile that was labeled as one of the hot hatches on the market.
The render shows the 1 Series Facelift with heavy influences from the F22 2 Series Coupe, starting with the front bumper and restyled headlights. The F20/F21 models have proven to be very successful for BMW with 188,184 units sold worldwide in 2013.
According to sources, the F20 1 Series Facelift will have a mild design update and not inherit the 2 Series Coupe design cues. The idea is not to compromise the unique look of the 2 Series Coupe.
The new family of engines, B37 and B38, will provide power to the 2015 BMW 1 Series. Along with the B47 four-cylinder engines, the three-cylinder powerplants will give lower consumption levels while providing plenty of power for three and five-door hatches.
Stay tuned in the next few weeks for the official unveil.
