Florian a reader of Bimmertoday has caught the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe in Obertauern, Austria , just a little over a month before its official unveiling at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Recently leaked patent drawings gave us a look at the side design. The four-door 4 Series Gran Coupe features a longer rear window that flows into a conventional trunk, a design feature that visually increases the side dimension of the car. The stretched and dynamic design on the side gives the car a more premium look while offering more interior room for passengers.
Just like the 3 Series GT, the 4 Series Gran Coupe is said to get a tailgate.
The F36 4 Series Gran Coupe will be available in the 420i, 420d, 428i and 435i configurations. Only the 428i and 435i will be available in the United States. 420d and 428i models will also be available with the xDrive system.
The market launch of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is scheduled for June 2014. The F36 4 Series Gran Coupe will be built at the BMW plant in Dingolfing.
