Two BMW M4 Coupes made it to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. As expected, the launch color Austin Yellow brightens the BMW stand in Detroit, but in the rear there is a hidden gem: a BMW M4 Coupe in Black Sapphire.

While the Austin Yellow highlights the complex design lines seen on the M4, the Black Sapphire gives the M4 a more subtle, yet elegant and sporty look. Equipped with black wheels as well, the M4 in Black Sapphire is a classic and one of the colors that make BMWs look timeless.

The M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe can be ordered in Alpine White, Sakhir Orange, Black Sapphire, Silverstone, Mineral White, Mineral Grey, Austin Yellow and Yas Marina. The launch colors are Austin Yellow for M4 and Yas Marina for the M3 Sedan.

Under the hood, BMW M4 features the return of the inline-6 engine format made famous by BMW M. The all-new, 3.0-liter BMW M3 and M4 engine is approximately 10 kilograms lighter than its V-8 predecessor and packs an even stronger punch.

With 425 horsepower from 5,500 – 7,300 rpm, 406 lb-ft of torque from 1,850 – 5,500 rpm, and capable of 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds when equipped with the M-DCT transmission (4.1 seconds with standard 6-speed manual).
