This week, the curtain will be lifted and BMW will introduce to the world the all-new F80 BMW M3 and F82 BMW M4. After years of speculations, rumors and more speculations we will finally see what BMW has in store for the M fans around the world.

And our sources say the new BMW M3 and first M4 will produce 435 horsepower from a 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine.

Also judging by the spy photo below, the F80 M3 features a similar front-end as the M4 model, along with the Air Breathers on the side and optional carbon-ceramic brakes.

The weight is said to have dropped below 1500 kilograms, thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, so performance, when compared to its predecessors will improve. Unofficial reports say that the F82 M4 might be faster at Nurburgring Nordschleife even than the M3 GTS and the iconic M3 CSL.

As a bonus, here is an interior photo from an M4 model showing the manual stick shift.

As an owner of an E92 M3, the weight issue is one that we have to deal with when driving at 9/10 or more. When you truly push the car, you do feel that V8 up front, and less weight on this new F80 will certainly be an interesting feel. Looking forward to seeing one in person, and driving one as well.

these two looks almost the same , there is no individuality in either of them. boring as always , for those track dudes should be a fun car.

Golden calipers – yuck. As tacky as golden iPhone. I’d prefer them blue.

the gold calipers designate the carbon ceramic brakes. awesome!

Based on the preliminary date of a 3.0 litre inline-six and 1,500 Kg, the car has enough power.
