We are days away from the unveil of the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and test mules are starting to be seen with minimal clothes. These latest spy shots give us a look at a 4 Series prototype that is nearly unveiled. The model seen here is the 435i model in Glacier Silver color and with the Sport Line configuration.
This 435i Sport Line features a sportier bumper, 19″ style 407 wheels, corona ring LED headlights, blacked out kidney bars, trims, air intakes and exhaust tips.
Design wise, the new 4 Series has a long sleek hood, a more steeply raked front windshield, lower front end, wider kidney grills and enlarged air intake just above the ground which all combine to give the coupe a very aggressive appearance.
The drivetrain of the F32 BMW 435i is virtually identical to that of the current BMW 335i: the turbocharged inline six-cylinder with 306 horsepower. The engine can be paired to a six-speed manual transmission or eight-speed automatic.
The 4 Series Coupe will be offered with pre-defined “Lines” of options, in this case, Luxury, Sport and M Sport.
Initially, the U.S. will get the 428i and 435i coupes, in rear-wheel drive and xDrive variants. A 435d model will follow in early 2014. Production of the 4 Series coupe begins this July and the convertible starts production in November.
