On the latest episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend’s Mike Febbo and the 2013 Scion FR-S take on European Car’s Greg Emmerson and the 2013 Volkswagen GTI. Joining the mix is one of our favorite M3 cars, the 1989 BMW E30 M3.
Compared to the Scion and VW, the E30 M3 carried a heftier price tag for its time but represented the definition of a fun, affordable sports car.
The GTI puts out 200 horsepower, same as the Scion FR-S. The E30 M3 is slightly underpowered with its 192 ponies.
Which one is the better car? Let’s have a look.
In a previous episode of Head 2 Head, the BMW E30 M3 and Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 were put to test.
