The fellows at Everyday Driver are taking on the challenge to test drive three of the most fun cars you can buy today. Well, technically only two you can still buy new.

Our favorite bimmer of the last decade, BMW 1M, is pitted against the almighty and everyone’s favorite M3, and the high performance variant of the Ford Mustang, Boss 302.

A great review by the guys at Everyday Driver and not a so surprising final conclusion. But the best part is that the 1M is worth more used than it was new two years ago.

Let’s have a look.

M3 is the one for me. Nevertheless, I love the idea of 1M a lot, because it’s small and tons of fun to drive, but it’s so impractical on daily basis.

It’s actually not that bad. Been using it as a day driver for 18 months now.

My wife drives her 135i, MSport coupe (same engine an 1M) everyday with no problems. In fact hers has the added DINAN software that puts out 30 more HP than the 1M. So either you are too large to fit in the M Seats or you aren’t capable of handling such a pocket rocket.

Regarding the latter, I guess that’s why your wife drives it ;) On a serious note, the back seat is too cramped and trunk volume is less than ideal. I mean it’s good for two people, but then why not to get a two-seater instead…
