With the BMW Concept X4, BMW offers a preview of the future of the BMW X family. It takes no more than a first glance to see how smoothly the qualities of a BMW X model can blend with the genes of a BMW Coupe.

The new Sports Activity Coupe concept from BMW is poised to continue the success story of the BMW X6 in a new vehicle class. Eye-catching proportions, tight contours and numerous high-quality details produce an unrivalled product character brimming with emotional appeal, dynamism and the sturdiness you would expect from a BMW X model, while at the same time holding out the promise of outstanding performance and driving dynamics.

All of this can be experienced when the BMW X4 production model rolls out of the factory for its market launch, scheduled for as early as 2014.

In the video below, Domagoj Dukec, Head of BMW Exterior Design, describes to us the new BMW X4. We had a chance to interview Dukec back in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show.

Sorry, the front is horrendous. Looks awkward.

  2. viper says:

not too bad , very predictable tho , the problem is the designers obviously have no clue how to design something new and mean looking (lack of money = lack of ideas) , they have no sense for nice , I don’t see the pint of x4 and the final product will look different than this (read even worse)

  3. FreudeKing says:

Seriously, these videos are so stupid! BMW’s marketing department is a complete flop! I am really sick and tired of good products being over taken by some cheap imitation products (like Audi) merely because the cheap ones are marketed better and have a perceived image of being cooler.
When you launch a product, you make a proper cool video that shows the product in the best light. Not some boring pathetic internal videos like these. I would fire all those reponsible for approving these unacceptable product videos.
Seriously, we live in a cut throat world today and competitors are always extremely sharp. How can BMW afford to come up with such trash marketing material?
Another problem: the Audi A3 Sedan is coming out soon and will definitely knock BMW off the number 1 spot. What has BMW done? The 1 Series hatch has been out for 2 YEARS!! and there is still no sign of the new 1 Coupe and Convertible based on the new design. What on earth are they waiting for? The A3 Sedan to come out so they can compete together? BMW’s strategy and marketing department is so FAST ASLEEP! BMW’s imminent downfall is NOT because of poor products bu rather POOR MANAGEMENT!
