During the TrackMaster Racing event at the famous Laguna Seca Raceway, driver Rolf H. takes his 1M through some power laps and the unique and amazing corkscrew.
Here is a quick review of his power laps:
The 1M’s agility on the street translates to the track. Understeer only comes around when you’ve braked way too late. Throttle application needs to be judicious, as oversteer is a small throttle stab away. Whenever you want. Never felt the car was ‘dangerous’ or ‘nervous’. Overall a well behaved little beasty. As for the driver,.. well.,… Had massive fun, and am now trying to resist the mod-bug with renewed defense.
PSS tires – Pretty damned impressive for a street tire on track. Didn’t seem to get overly greasy at any point during the day, although the throttle did need a bit more sensitivity as the laps went on. Had to manage the stock pads/brakes well before the tires needed managing. Never had the car on PS2 on track.
