2014 BMW 5 Series Facelift leaks out in China

A long wheelbase of the 2014 BMW 5 Series Facelift seems to have been leaked in China. According to IndianAutosBlog, Chinese media got a hold of these low-resolution images that show the details behind the mild facelift.

At the front, we see larger foglights with chrome inserts into the bumper. Also redesigned air curtains can be seen in these photos.

The rear gets a new bumper with small design updates as well.

The entry-level model will be the 518d powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel unit producing 140 horsepower. At the high-end of the scale we will see the BMW 550i with its V8 TwinTurbo engine.

The facelift updates will apply to touring and Gran Turismo models as well, and BMW plans to introduce the facelifted models in the summer of 2013.

Why china gets long wheelbase?

  because it’s much expensive than most markets,it cost as mush as a 7 series or more there,thats why audi,bmw and many companies have LWB’s for china only.

    Yes, you’re right. We have a long weelbase (530 Li) here on middle east, too. The base price for any BMW series is much expensive then in US.

I love it. IMO the 5′s design was great to begin with so these small updates are perfect. I would rather have the 5LWB stateside than the V6 7.

I’m planning to buy new 2013 535I this month, should I wait for the new facelift? Dealer said “new facelift will be on 2015 model, not 2014″ is that true?

  i think any updates will be applied to 2014 models ,be patient
