Building atop the success of the Ghost model, Rolls Royce is currently testing a new luxury vehicle that will sit below the Drophead and Phantom models. Often referred as the Rolls Royce Ghost Coupe, the new high-end vehicle uses the Ghost platform while adding a new sleeker roofline and redesigned overhangs.
The overall proportions are said to be slightly smaller than the four-door Ghost with different styling and the front and rear end. The car will also have a more dynamic, sporty ride that will put some market pressure on the Bentley GT model.
Powering the car will be the same 563 horsepower twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine and 8-speed automatic transmission found in the four door.
Recent trademarks by BMW of “Corniche” indicate that the Ghost coupe might take on this naming convention to further differentiate itself and justify the higher price tag. An EX concept version of the car will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, followed by the production model debut at Frankfurt show.
