The 2015 BMW M4 begins its public test trials and heads to BMW’s famous testing track at Nurburgring.

The M version of the 3 Series Coupe (and future 4 Series) gets a new moniker: M4. The iconic coupe will sport the usual M design cues: wide track, M front bumper with large air intakes, large brakes, signature four exhaust pipes and side gills.

Under the hood, the M3 and M4 variants will be powered by an inline-six turbo unit that is likely to produce around 450 horsepower. It remains unknown if BMW will offer a 3.0 or 3.2 liter displacement.

The engine is expected to be mated to a dual-clutch transmission, but we won’t be surprised if a manual box will be offered for the U.S. customers.

We anticipate a market debut in the second half of 2014.

    Period.

  3. BMW BEST says:

If M3 and M4 are same engine, then M3 is enough. If BMW insist to come up with M4,please make it different with M3,which mean more power or more cheaper than M3.

  4. viper says:

M4 sounds stupid , its going to be a 3.0l not 3.2l , bmw is going for downsizing , from 4.0 to 3.0

  5. Sajan says:

Downsizing (engines) is a trend that is happening with all car manufacturers.. get used to it. It’s happening from ford to BMW. A ford focus in europe used to be considered bottom spec with a 1.6l engine.. now the base model has a 3 cylinder 1l engine.

  6. the renders look shit
