Here is a new rendering of the upcoming BMW M4. Due out in 2014, the M version of the 3 Series Coupe (and future 4 Series) gets a new moniker: M4.
The design of the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe builds atop the upcoming 4 Series and will incorporate the typical M design cues: wide track, an M front bumper, full LED headlights, and the signature four exhaust pipes at the rear.
Recently, after months of speculations and contradictory reports, the saga of the next generation M3 and M4 engine came to an end. The M3 and M4 variants will be powered by an inline-six turbo unit that is likely to produce around 450 horsepower. The engine is expected to be mated to a dual-clutch transmission, but we won’t be surprised if a manual box will be offered for the U.S. customers. Some of the new features in the next M3 and M4 include an electronically controlled differential as found in the M5.
The M3 sedan will come first to market next year, followed a year later by the F82 M4.
The rendering created by Roger Lighterness features the Monte Carlo Blue color as seen on the M5, along with signature black wheels.
