Filled under morbid and simply strange.

Custom hearse builder Biemme Special Cars has announced the world’s most luxurious and expensive funeral car, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Hearse. The “unique” vehicle is set to debut at the Tan Expo funeral home show in Bologna, Italy and it is built on the extended wheelbase version of the Phantom. The car is three feet longer and features four-doors, same as the original Phantom.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Hearse is powered by the 6.75-liter V12 engine and it sits on a self-leveling air suspension. The car is made entirely from aluminum with over 600 assembled parts and over 650 feet of welding.

Biemme has not announced the final price on this model, but they hinted at around half-a-million Euros ($662,000).

Now, should the company change it’s hearse name from Phantom to something more suitable?
