No fog was to be found on the second day of testing at the Roar Before the 24 at Daytona International Speedway. Morning sessions were fast and furious as teams wanted to spend day two turning as many laps as possible. These sessions were good for the BMWs in the Continental Tire Series as Seth Thomas set the fast time of the day in his Bimmerworld 328i.

Bimmerworld went on to finish P1, P2 and P4 in the morning session. Not to be outdone by their larger M3 brothers in the GS class Fall-Line powered their BMW M3s to P1 and P2 in the afternoon session with Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana in P3 with their Turner Motorsports Entry.

Night time brought out the big guns of the Rolex DP and GT fields. As darkness fell the quiet Daytona Beach night was alive was the roar of the Rolex Series finest turning fast laps around the 3.56-mile, 12-turn speedway road course. Outside of the normal there were few cautions however a dual into a braking zone took out an ESM Ferrari 458 and the 01 Dinan powered Ginassi entry had an early exit with contact. Highlights of the evening topped off with those BMW rotors glowing red hot in the crisp night air!
