BMW of North America today announced a modest inflationary price increase effective January 1, 2012. The Destination and Handling fee for all models will be increased to $895 on that date as well.

This increase is less than one percent and applies to the models listed in the table below. In these tough economic times a careful balance was attained between the competitive situation, inflationary conditions, and market realities.

    Re: inflation, will we see a non-M 3-series priced above $100k in U.S. in our lifetime? It seems our dear leaders are making it more likely.

    roughly 200 Euro increase per car. Not much and not exactly surprising. Although the USD gained some momentum against the Euro due to the European crisis. No, not because the US is doing well :-(

    As far as 100k USD in a next 30-35 years ? Well, some models maybe. 62k is for a convertible which needs about 35% increase in 30 years, or 0.9% each year. Its possible given the worldwide economic outlook.
