In the last few years we have seen several BMW owners dressing up their vehicles in vinyl wrap, from matte black, to gray and even matte orange.

Latest one to join the club is the BMW Park Lane dealership in London, UK. The photos from the British capital reveal BMW M3 Coupe wrapped around in an interesting foil. The UK dealer decided to give the E92 M3 a look and feel that remind us of the cube aluminum interior trim. The vinyl is also similar to a carbon fiber weave pattern in a grey color that resembles the Frozen Grey paint.

It remains unknown if the foil is a product of the US company 3M as we have seen on previous vehicles.

For those of you that live in London, the car is still in display at the dealership, so feel free to stop by and see it in person.

You know what? From a distance it doesn’t look absolutely cheap and hideous. Kind of makes the M3 look like it’s sheathed in stainless steel like a Delorean.

Up close though, the effect is ugly and tacky. And what happens the first time this wrapping gets inevitably ripped or torn or scratched?

Once again, a “customization” that reinforces the unfair stereotype that all BMW owners are pretentious assholes with more money than taste. FAIL.

Who knows? Maybe yes, maybe no. But i still hope the aluminum oil can wrap into the exterior designing  which can make our car much more stylish.
