In March 2011, German magazine Auto Motor Und Sport reported on a rumor that BMW plans to introduce a new 4 Series line-up. Beside the coupe and convertible variants, the magazine said at the time that a four-dour coupe type of vehicle will be introduced as well.

The new 4 Series will also allow BMW to price the vehicle slightly higher, at a premium price. The 4 Series Gran Coupe is said to compete with the A5 Sportback and it will feature a coupe-like roof line.

Last year, we reported several times on BMW’s plans to launch a 3 Series Gran Turismo variant and according to our sources, the vehicles is still on schedule to launch in 2013. It is unclear at the moment if the two rumored vehicle are in fact one and only.

The F35 4 Series Gran Coupe is said to launch in 2015.

The overall dynamic design would appeal to a younger demographic as well and will be a viable alternative to the high-end 6 Series Coupe.

As always, rendering artists begin to illustrate how the final design might look like.

It does look nice, perhaps a little bit more tweak to the headlights then I think it should look better!

Yes. Taken from autobild and germancarforum. And we posted about this
      back in march.

And we were the first to confirm the 2 series.

      Anything else?

That info is all smoke and mirrors my guilty overly defensive friend. Wheres the link to GCF?

My guess is it will magically pop up now that its been exposed.

No need for link. This is info we knew. Photo comes from autobild
magazine. So not sure why you’re on our case. Always someone from
Bimmerpost comes here to bash. We never do that.

dislike the angle of the headlights next to the grills…. it should be inverted.

Wasn’t the gran coupe supposed to be shorter (in height) than the uh…. well, shorter than something else?   Is it possible that the 4-series will have a lower roofline than the 3-series?    The height is my big gripe with BMW’s direction, because it raises the center of gravity too much.

Honestly…. I’m baffled that they want to have coupe-like sedans.  That sounds to me like a very expensive, inefficient way to create yet more artificially differentiated products.

Looks decent but from this altered image it looks like a current BMW 3 series with a new face tacked on.

BMW needs something sexier.  Like the new Audi A7

Thats not coupe, it can pass as ˝false coupe˝ (like MC CLS, VW Passat CC) but to be a real coupe it has 2 doors extra…
