The BMW 1 Series M Coupe configurator is now available online at www.bmwusa.com. The new 1M is rapidly approaching the official launch date in May when dealerships will receive their first cars.

For the past year, BMW 1M has been an important topic of discussion within the BMW community and the limited numbers of cars available made the 1M even more desirable.

In the United States, the 1M has a base price of $47,010, including destination charges. As on all the other markets, BMW offers the 1M in three colors: Valencia Orange Metallic, Alpine White and Sapphire Black Metallic. The two metallic colors add an additional $550 to the base price.

Inside, BMW only offers the Black Boston leather with orange stitching.
Two packages are available for the 1M, the Convenience Package with Anti-theft alarm system, Comfort Access, Park Distance Control (rear only) and Navigation System, and the Premium Package with Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Auto-dimming rear view mirror, power front seats with driver seat memory, ambiance lighting, lumbar support, BMW Assist with Bluetooth, iPod and USB adapter.

In order to get the Navigation system, one has to pay for the Convenience Package which can only be ordered with the Premium Package. Comfort Access and Rear Parking Distance Control are also part of the same Convenience pack, two options that have always been sold as standalone options in other models.

Here is a summary of the options pricing.

  • Premium Package – $2,400

  • Metallic Paint – $550 (Valencia Orange and Black Sapphire)
