As of today, BMW U.S. dealerships are able to place orders for the new 2012 BMW 1 Series M Coupe. While pricing will be revealed at the Detroit Auto Show on January 10th, 2011, any U.S. customers can customize their 1M with the packages and options available.

The 1M will be offered only in three colors, Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Valencia Orange. Inside, BMW only offers the Black Boston leather with orange stitching.

Two packages are available for the 1M, the Convenience Package with Anti-theft alarm system, Comfort Access, Park Distance Control (rear only) and Navigation System, and the Premium Package with Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Auto-dimming rear view mirror, power front seats with driver seat memory, ambiance lighting, lumbar support, BMW Assist with Bluetooth, iPod and USB adapter.

Other options include power folding mirrors, heated front seats, or retractable headlight washers.

    I think things like Bluetooth and USB adaptor should come standard now, especially on a BMW/. I think even the new Ford cars such as the Focus already are coming with standard Bluetooth via their Sync system.

      I agree with you that brands like BMW should’ve them as standard equipment across the entire range. But on a second thought, those things are unecessary when you rarely use them…

    The options are there to keep cost down and besides, anyone who races these cars will not want any options!
