New BMW 6 Series to be featured in Mission Impossible 4

Rumor of the day is that Tom Cruise’s next Mission Impossible flick will feature the all-new BMW 6 Series. Currently filming in Dubai and the UK, the movie franchise will launch their fourth episode next year.

Mission Impossible: The Ghost Protocol will include some car-chase actions that will feature the new 6er, along with other BMW models.

According to the same insider Scott27, Tom Cruise was recently a guest of BMW in Munich and received a preview of the new 6 Series Convertible.

Design wise, the new 2012 BMW 6 Series will not be a twin-brother to the CS Concept, but some design cues made it into the new 6er, including some design elements from the recently unveiled Gran Coupe.

A heated debate around a soft-top versus hardtop roof took place for a while, but the latest information coming from Munich mention the former variant as being the correct one. The car will continue to use a soft canvas.

The BMW 650i and 640i Convertible will make their US debut next year.

I will definitely go out to the Cinema for it! Mission Impossible has been quite dissapointing recently, hopefully the new one would be a whole lot better than before…

It’s about time BMWs appear again in movies. That bunch of new management cutting cost and cutting their budget on advertising have allowed Audi to market effectively with their cars like the R8, S5, etc. in movies, leading to a rise in awareness and perceived coolness of the Audi brand while BMW was hiding behind rocks counting their pennies!

I hope this is true and not a rumor!

I cannot wait to see this movie, I’m a big fan of any spy movies such as James Bond, Mission Impossible and also a fan of Tom Cruise as an ACTOR (not for his strange antics and lifestyle). BMW6 is one of the sleekest and most gorgeous bmw to date! I used to lean more towards Mercedes to be honest, but the lines on the 6 series are hot!

its funny…i have been saying for ages that audi did a great job placing their cars in movies – irobot, ironman – and now bmw come up with this…again a bit late bmw, just like with the supercar… guess bmw not always leads….it follows sometimes too

i should get a job at bmw by now cause most of the things i have been screaming 4 ages in these forums they seem to do it later on LOL except fixxing those run flat tires, engine panel gaps and electric steerings…

So…. BMW first turned down product placement in the Matrix 2, which turned out to be a wild boon for Cadillac, and should have been a no-brainer after the success of Matrix 1. Now they’re placing in an nth sequal in a series that appeals to people with very unsophisticated tastes. It’s a perturbing decision.
