The next generation F10 BMW M5 is rendered once again. The 2012 M5 won’t be unveiled until next spring, at the Geneva auto show, in a concept form, but computer generated images continue to pop-up on a monthly basis.

As seen in spy photos as well, the rendered M5 sports an aggressive front-end with the M treatment which includes the usual aggressive bumper and large air intakes. The hood features the same sporty look with concave and convex shapes, the V-forming creases that enhance its sportiness.

The exterior design lines continue to flow across the sides, with a crease running from the front to the rear wheel arches. They become even more substantiated as they approach the rear-end. Wider rear fenders visually enhance the M5’s road presence.

The M gills, an M trademark, are featured on this rendering as well, along with M-style wheels.

The car’s construction will be a hybrid of an aluminum spaceframe for the front section and a traditional steel monocoque for the passenger compartment and rear.

The new M5 goes on sale at the end of 2011.

Visually the car is done. Underneath development and testing of major technology commences but we will show a visual concept of the M5 @ Geneva in March 2011. The official launch will be in the summer prior to it’s first appearance at the IAA in Frankfurt , September 2011. European customers will take delivery of the first M5’s in November 2011. First US deliveries will be in spring 2012, with the M6 following just before summer 2012.

Best render I’ve seen so far. Could be a release pic.

Pity they don’t flare the wheel arches anymore. That used to add a lot of aggressive understatement.

  5. M5POWER says:

Looks really good! Not too overdone at least… And yes closest to what we could see in a months time.

  6. 1Mc says:

    Very very nice. Great render!

  7. Jaao says:

Fooled by the camouflage. Not entirely right

  8. jgs says:

    Mean momma, all the way…

  9. jack says:

Looks nice but it also looks like the new 5 series with a E92 M3 front end on it. I hope BMW has taken the M5 design pass the current M3 design ideas…..

  10. Jaao says:

duh, this rendering is not right. The frontbumper is based on the camouflaged bumper on the mule, which is fake. Fooled!
