By now many of you might know that MINI introduced a “crazy challenge” as many of us called it: a MINI Cooper S against the Porsche 911 Carrera S. An unfair fight according to some and we are not disagreeing, same goes for Porsche USA CEO who simply refused to be dragged into this marketing gimmick.
MINI did not give up and Jim McDowell, MINI USA CEO continued to challenge Porsche, but unfortunately, with no success.
Since it is clear now that Porsche will not show up at Road America for the challenge, MINI takes another route, fighting onward and making this an open, public challenge.
The call goes for anyone who thinks that are up for the challenge, either aboard their own 911 S vehicles or behind the wheel of one supplied by MINI.
The event is set to take place on June 21, at Road Atlanta.
