A few months ago, we reported on an unique color/car combination as chosen by one of the members of the M5board. The BMW M6 Individual in Ontario Gold exterior color was picked up by at the BMW Welt last October.

Some of the individual options he has chosen are listed below, but one of them particularly stands out of the bunch is the Ontario Gold paint.

Individual Options:
Ontario Gold exterior (a special request paint)
Full Merino Leather with contrasting stitching (dash, seats, etc.)
Bi-Color leather interior (Champagne and Gold Brown)
Champagne alcantara headliner
Champagne velour floor mats (leather trimmed)
Hawaiian Koa wood interior trim

Mark’s story was picked up by BMW Magazine and the BMW TV Online, and the first video of this unique color is being listed now on Youtube.

Sure, not everyone’s taste, but hey….unique is good. Different…even better.

It doesn’t look bad, in fact, I think it looks rather good. If you’re going to go for an individual scheme, it might as well look the part. This M6 will, no doubt, stand out in a crowd. It does look special.

the one and only elegant bmw , sad. it will be replaced by a new one , dull fat and ugly just like 5er.

THE “Hawaiian Koa wood interior trim” looks like the cheap wood from the 80’s Mercedes benz. Besides that all are oke, but not my choices. Sure to be a winner if being different was on the agenda. Actually a tasteful different.

Viper – why you say the new 6 will NOT be elegant ? all the pictures I have seen shows a car slightly modified to the current version and actually slimmer then the current car. The new 5 is lightyears nicer then the E60 Fat-top-heavy-bangled up car ever looked. The new 7 5 are a definite step forward and not the bangle step backwards style. Bangle’s design was/is a worst in a history of BMW.

no man they weren’t that bad

Yep, no to everyone’s taste, but that’s what Individual is all about. Order it the way YOU want it.

I’m not sure what 80s Mercedes had for trim, but it sure wasn’t koa wood. The finish on the trim is not glossy (I specified a satin finish like a Hawaiian koa wood jewelry box) so perhaps it does not photograph/video accurately. It looks better in person than in the video.

I too think the new F12/F13 6 series will look OK, evolutionary not revolutionary with influences from the F10 5 series (more upright grilles, etc.). I’m eager to see the final form, but I think I’ll hold onto my V-10 beast.

    Cheers

Very few people know about Koa wood. These trees are endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, and is a very rare exotic wood. When finished properly it has almost a three-dimensional appearance. Very beautiful.

The two-tone interior on this M6 really adds a lot of class in my opinion.

BMW’s famed inline 6 cylinder engine is a great performer from the factory but there are a variety of BMW Modifications available to improve response and performance. BMW Cold Air Intakes are a popular BMW modification that will improve flow and performance that translates to dramatic changes in response and power output.

Seek out a BMW dealership close to you and let them know exactly what you want. Simply by asking for the M6, can you sincerely demonstrate to the dealer that you are serious about your research. You went in there with one goal in mind and that is to purchase the best car on the market. You went in there to purchase the BMW M6 and when you at long last drive it off the vehicle lot, you will recognize why so many individuals select the M6 as their choice of premium motor vehicle.

The M6 boasts the same muscular hand-built 500-hp 5.0-liter V10 engine as the M5, along with enhanced suspension and brakes. A 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) with steering wheel shift paddles is standard; a conventional 6-speed manual transmission is also available.

Outdated single-clutch SMG automated manual, uncharacteristically numb steering, polarizing styling. We expect the M6 to have the same power rating but maybe BMW will want to surprise us. The M6 is expected to debut later this year.

    The first M6 was equipped with a 256-hp inline-six, the second generation was powered by a 500-hp V-10. The new M6 will have a nearly 600-hp, 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8. Sound familiar? It’s basically the same engine found in the X5 M and X6 M.
