wow that engine build is very impressive. in my opinion thats what M should be doing to the engines already. i have to say im dissappointed to see that the new motorsport engines are starting to become more of a modified version of an existing design. that last, ill say batch, of Motorsport engines (S54, S65, S85) were all specifically built by Motorsport. the S54 was based on the M54 built a totally different engine. and the S65 and S85 were totally new original engine designs. the only thing the could be said to be based on were the Formula 1 engines. and they were. i know what BMW and Motrosport are doing and why and it makes total sense. in a way the new production engines are so good that they only need to be enhanced by Motosport. whatever im done with that subject.
i would like to know though if Nowack Motors does any reprogramming of the EGS (transmission), DSC (dynamic stability control) modules. alot of information is shared with the DME and these modules. theyre actually all on a specific CAN network (PT-CAN) so they all "talk" to each other. the DSC even gives the DME commands based on its own information to control wheel slip. stabilty control is done by a comibination of cutting spark and or fuel to the engine or with brakes being apllied. i dont think the DSC would like all the new info it got from 700hp.im guessing they do. i could see alot of fault codes and lights occuring if they didnt. maybe im worng though.
